the coolest car I killed during that time was an old XJS V12. Most tho were pretty much scrap metal

It' was part of being a tech at a dealership during that time. Why do you think a lot of fellow techs are not enthusiasts. We are there to do our job not drool on cool cars. If I were to be like "oh no not this jag, it is a V12 and a fine example of British design..." blah blah blah. My boss would of fired me and got someone else to do it.
I keep telling OPPO im not an enthusiast, but it's more like some odd grey area of yes and no.

I'd personally do both. I'd drool a bit, and then have somebody else kill it.

that is just freaking beautiful! But it was our job, we had to.

I did try to buy it/find someone to buy it. We had heard of dealers backing out of C4C deals and letting people buy the cars, but our GM at the time wasn't having it.

our wasn't either, mostly because all the dealers in our chain were pretty much out of stock of new cars for about 4 months. The huge parking lot where we stored our C4C cars was under police surveillance the whole time. Boss was pissed when he say us taking shit from cars. Stuff that was good and we needed for ours.

Same here. We had guys at certain stores playing tug of war with the C4C trucks, and swapping entire sets of wheels and tires from them to their personal cars.

lol wheel swaps where the most common things on our trucks. Tail lights and seats were also. I kept a Cadillac De Villle passenger seat by my tool box forever. So comfy on slow days

I'm surprised someone wouldn't have paid $ 1500 for that car.
